Adel Wiggins Flexible Tube Connectors, known familiarly as Wiggins Clamps,
provide an ideal method for connecting and sealing two tubes.
They are available in aluminum with a stainless two-finger latch, and are frequently used for vacuum lines, water lines, and turbo intake plumbing.
All are qualified to AS1650 and MIL-C-22263 specs., and are tested to greater
than 125 psi. operating pressure, at temperatures up to 450° F depending mainly on the o-ring material.
Wiggins Clamps are remarkably easy to use. Once the Weld Ferrules are welded to the tubes to be connected and the O-rings are installed, the O-ring Sleeve is slipped over the Weld Ferrules and the Clamshell Clamp snaps into place - you can do it with two fingers - providing a flexible sealed connection.
A Wiggins Coupling Assembly (not including the O-rings) is comprised of four pieces:
The Clamshell Assembly - the clamshell clamp and the hard anodized
O-ring sleeve
Two Weld Ferrules, which have O-ring grooves and are usually butt-welded to your tube.
Listed below are complete coupling assemblies,clamshell assemblies, and weld ferrules. We don't stock O-rings, but standard AS568 O-rings are used. You select the O-ring material that is appropriate to your application

While Burns Stainless does not supply O-rings, Wiggins Clamps use industry standard O-rings, defined by the SAE. In the reference table below, the O-ring size code is AS568A followed by the dash number indicating the partĘs dimensions.
