With the 2009 racing season drawing to a close, champions are being crowned in many venues. Burns Stainless would like to congratulate Mike Edwards who became NHRA Pro-Stock Champion this past weekend in Pomona. Beginning with the Winternationals in Pomona last February, Edwards showed that he was the driver to beat with record breaking runs almost at every venue. Jack Burns was happy to celebrate with the Edwards team.

 POMONA, Calif., Nov. 12, 2009 - The run for the ultimate prize in the NHRA vault finally came to an end for Mike Edwards at the conclusion of qualifying for the Auto Club NHRA Finals in Pomona, when he was handed the Pro Stock championship hardware. What was a mere formality of Edwards securing his first championship had to wait until qualifying concluded before he could be crowned the 15th NHRA Full Throttle Pro Stock champion.
"What an honor this is," Edwards said. "This team worked so hard to reach this goal and now I am proud to stand here with the championship trophy for them.".

 We have our TIG welder ready to go. We have our header tubes tacked together with perfect fitment. We have properly fit the pipes to the flange and have our back purge system setup. So you may ask, are we ready to weld? Yes, we are finally ready to weld up the header. It is worth repeating that a well fabricated header is the result of many hours of diligent planning and preparation. I often get calls from customers who want to fabricate headers who tell me "I can weld stainless." Not to take away from the skills of a good welder, but the welding is only one step of a multi-step process. So here we go.
