POMONA CA - After days of rain in sunny soCal, the air was good in Pomona on Tuesday with Jason Line beating out Mike Edwards in the Pro-Stock final round and setting a track record of 211.63 mph. Edwards had a better ET, but Line cut the better light. In Top Fuel, Doug Kalitta defeated Antron Brown in the final with an ET of 3.82 sec. Congratulations to Burns customer Dan Fletcher for capturing the first win of 2009 in Comp Eliminator. This is Dan's second win at Pomona. The 2009 Winternationals also saw the debut of the Ford Mustang Cobra Jet package cars specifically designed for NHRA racing; and not a bad debut at that with John Calvert winning A/S against Tom Gaynor in the final round. Burns Merge Collector Maximizes Performance
The trend towards custom engineered headers designed and built for specific engine/chassis combination is growing. Competitive racers realize that a custom-engineered header is a cost effective way to increase performance from their engine combinations.
